Does Shah Rukh Khan regret his early marriage?
Have you heard of a heartthrob who married and became a family man like a good boy just before he tried his stint at films? Well, that’s Shah Rukh Khan for you, and he got married when was just 25. You may wonder what caused him to get married when he had girls swooning all over him (and still does), and he could have enjoyed this for a few more years.
This question must have been in the hearts of many, until a fan decided to ask him this question right on. And do you know what answer Shah Rukh gave him? This was what he wrote in Instagram to a fan’s question in the "Ask me anything" section. He answered "Bhai love aur luck Kabhie bhi aa jaate hain. So both came early with Gauri" Simple answer, but it definitely would have made Gauri thrilled, and it made all the fans proud.
Who wouldn’t love to hear such a response from someone they love. Love and luck did indeed happen in SRK’s life, with him delivering hit after hit. His passion in acting and his intelligence in looking at every aspect of life played a major role in bringing success home. And yes, as he admitted a year ago in Ted Talk, that the songs that were written and composed for him made him what he is today.
Jab they met
If he married at an early age of 25, you would naturally wonder about their courtship days. The Devdas actor fell in love with Gauri when he was just 18, (she was 14 then, and they met at a high school party in Delhi. They were shy teenagers, and recount having coke together.
Eventually, they began to meet, chaperoned visits (with friends, of course), of course, and their relationship went from infatuation to serious attraction and deep relationship from King Khan’s side. In between Gauri needed a break, because he was overly possessive about her, and left for Mumbai, without informing him. SRK couldn’t bear it, and he pursued her on money borrowed from his own mom.
He scoured the streets of Mumbai looking for her, and eventually found her several days later at the beach at sunset. Gauri wasn’t ready for commitment, and insisted that he complete his studies. Eventually, he won her won over, and her family too. After all, who wouldn’t be turned on by his charms and wit? The courtship along took 6 long years, and they had a Hindu wedding before his first film release.
Success, looks, fame and money blew along in his path, and while he was riding high in them, he also had to endure his share of negative publicity. But then when you are a star, and a busy one at that, it is not easy to brush those rumours aside.
His charm, wit, personality, talking style and the way he carried himself, his dedication to work and energy made him what he is today.
There is still a huge chunk of the female population who would throw themselves at him any time of the day. And the King of Bollywood stood by his wife, strong and faithful, and even when there were rumors of a romantic relationship with his co-stars Juhi Chawla and Priyanka Chopra, he never faltered, never made Gauri regret her decision.
So do you think King Khan regrets his early marriage? The answer is a definite NO. No other lady could replace his wife for him.
