Google Currency Rate Glitch Is Taken Hilariously In Pakistan
Google Currency Rate Glitch: Search engine behemoth, Google, glitched late on Tuesday evening with the currency exchange tool displaying conversion rates to be much lower than they were in reality.
Pakistanis were amused as the now-fixed glitched explicated a dollar for Rs 76 as compared to the actual Rs140.14, and the Emirati Dirham AED at Rs20.76 as contrasted to the substantive Rs38.15 per Dirham.

Google, nevertheless, has never alleged that their converter should be the single source of checking conversion rates, and the disclaimer tab includes everything from the lags in refreshing the rates of exchange to giving no guarantees on the presented numbers.
The disclaimer says, “Google cannot guarantee the accuracy of the exchange rates displayed. You should confirm current rates before making any transactions that could be affected by changes in the exchange rates.”
Following this fiasco, Pakistanis were quick to take to Twitter to humorously appreciate the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) administration for delivering on its commitment to positive change (Tabdeeli).
We saw a lot of memes overnight regarding this debacle especially by Pakistanis; since we are the nation who never misses any chance to joke around.
However, all of this happened randomly, and it was not just Dollar prices which were affected:
After this shortly-lived Joy, Pakistanis Were Quick to Realize It's a Glitch!
Of course, when peeps understood this was nothing more than a technical glitch since the chart shown on the right side displayed a trend much more in accordance with what the rates had been in preceding days.
Google Clarifies Too
Furthermore, Google has elucidated that the dollar rate glitch in Pakistan was a result of errors in data obtained from third parties.
In a statement, the Google spokesman said: “At times we get our data from third party sources, and in this case, we have flagged and fixed the error.”
And now we can assure that everything went back to normal including the price rates, which for a second dropped a bombshell on all the exporters and overseas Pakistanis.
Nevertheless, as the news broke of the shocking exchange rate Pakistanis, as usual, reacted to the whole situation with their classic humor.
The whole situation of Google currency rate glitch was quite surreal. We hope nobody was actually incited to acquire currency because of this Google glitch.
