Meet Pakistan’s tallest man Zia Rashid, aged 23! He is from Punjab province, is a public figure with numerous people often demanding him to pose for a selfie.
Nevertheless, Zia has also unveiled that his great height, where he stands 8 feet tall(Yes, 8 feet, Literally!), has also become a difficulty for him when striving to find a suitable match.
Mr. Rashid is just three inches short of exceeding the world record for the world's tallest man. The current record holder is Sultan Kösen, who is a Turkish farmer and stands at 8 feet 2.82 inches tall.
While opening up about his struggles to find a wife, Zia shared:
“I’ve not been able to find my life partner so far. I’ve not found someone who is tall enough for me. It is almost impossible.”
“Also, my family has struggled to find a match for me.”
“They took my marriage proposal to several families, but no one showed interest in me.”
Mr. Rashid continued that he has given up on the thought of getting wedded for now. He said: “Personally, I’ve stopped thinking about it.”
Lots of Pakistanis took to social media to share Mr. Rashid’s narrative while also showing their sympathy for his struggles.
One online user commented:
“Height of sadness! Pakistan’s tallest man, 23, who towers above friends… battles to find love after his family’s marriage proposals are constantly rejected due to his size.”
One more user posted:
“Bechare (poor thing). This odd, but sad.”
Getting a wife is not the only difficulty for Zia since he finds it almost impossible to buy ready-made garments and has to get them customized according to his tallest size; while his footwears are delivered in from Karachi.

Also, he is unable to travel on public transport. Zia told:
“The biggest problem for me is I can’t travel on public buses. I can’t sit in the seats because there is not enough leg space on public buses.”
It's worth noting that Pakistan's tallest man was ten years old when his life started turning to these kinds of changes.
“At the age of 10, suddenly my height started increasing.”
“My whole body became weak. Doctors said the weakness was due to calcium deficiency and advised me to eat calcium-rich food. But within a year, I became the tallest person in our family.”
Notwithstanding his massive height, Zia is proud of being distinctive to others.
“Despite all the odds, I feel proud of my height. I feel proud that I’m different from others.”
“It gives me a lot of happiness that because of my height people come and take selfies with me. I get a lot of love and attention from people, and that makes me feel proud.”

Although Zia’s tall height left him without a job; his heightened fame has enabled him to escort various private events in Dubai and Saudi Arabia. Recently, he accepted an invitation to attend an event in Zimbabwe.
Zia hopes that the local administration will recognize his uniqueness and give him a job in the future; so that he could earn his living.
It's unfortunate that we don't value these kinds of people in our country. The tallest man of Pakistan; who could be utilized in many ways, is suffering from joblessness, Sigh!!!
Let's hope these Tabdeeli brats will do something for Pakistan's tallest man. What do you think about him? Let us know in the comments below.
